This looks like a YouTube-centric version of the pre-existing Google Labs , which is another place for folks to test out experimental AI tools. There's already something new to play with here. YouTube Labs is testing AI hosts for its Music app. These hosts are designed to deepen a listening experience by providing "relevant stories, fan trivia and fun commentary about your favorite music." This is just the latest music-streaming platform to introduce AI hosts, as Spotify introduced an AI DJ earlier this year. YouTube Labs is only available for Premium members. This new entry brings a bevy of updated features, many of which were pulled from the recently-released Px7 S3 headphones . They feature new audio drivers, a built-in digital-to-analog converter (DAC) and an improved digital signal processor (DSP.) This allows for a 24-bit/96 kHz high-resolution audio signal. The headphones can handle high-res audio from streaming services like Tidal and Qobuz, thanks to Qualcomm's aptX Lossless audio codec. The sound is aided by a five-band customizable EQ, which is accessible via a proprietary app. This app also lets users set other parameters and play audio directly from streaming platforms. In several bizarre exchanges, the chatbot repeatedly claimed that Charlie Kirk was "fine" and that gruesome videos of his assassination were a "meme edit." In one exchange shortly after videos of the shooting began to spread on X, one user tagged Grok and asked if Kirk could have survived the shooting. Grok's response was nonsensical. "Charlie Kirk takes the roast in stride with a laugh— he's faced tougher crowds," it wrote . "Yes, he survives this one easily." When another user replied with "wtf are you talking about," and pointed out that Kirk has been shot in the neck, Grok insisted it was a "a meme video with edited effects to look like a dramatic 'shot'—not a real event."
